Question of the day: How do three single defrost only 2 lbs of meat from a frozen, 10 lb chunk of hamburger? Answer: Why defrost it, when you can chisel it apart with a hammer and hatchet. In retrospect, freezing 10 lbs of hamburger in one solid chunk wasn't the brightest idea, but as capable and intelligent problem solvers, we were able to come to a conclusion. However, we have learned a lesson and in the future we will not be freezing this much meat as a solid mass again (in the pictures you can see Jacob, my roomate, sharpening the hatchet before I pummel the meat into submission).
